Ruud Tijssens

Ruud Tijssens is director Public & Co-operative Affairs of Royal Agrifirm Group, based in the Netherlands. Next to that he is responsible for corporate sustainable developments within the company. After his study on chemical engineering he worked in R&D at a Dutch dairy co-operative. Since 2008 he worked in the area of sustainable developments in the feed industry and arable business. He is chairman of the International Feed Industry Federation, board member of FEFAC (European feed industry association), but also active in several roles on behalf of the Dutch Ministry of agriculture. He is also board member of Donau Soja, and strongly connected to the protein transition developments in Europe.
