Khalid Meksem

Dr. Khalid Meksem is Professor of Plant Genomics and Genetics at the school of agricultural Sciences, Southern Illinois University Carbondale, IL USA. His soybean research interests cover forward and reverse genetics, TILLING, gene mutations and genetic diversity, with a long-time area of interest residing in the molecular dissection of plant disease resistance mechanisms (nematodes) and the improvement of economically important traits in soybean (oil, proteins, sucrose, antinutrients and secondary metabolites).
