Benjamin Stewart-Brown
Dr. Benjamin Bruce Stewart-Brown is a Temperate Soybean Product Design Scientist for Bayer Crop Science. He is located in Ames, Iowa, USA and has been active in this position for two years. Prior to this role, he began his professional career as a Soybean Line Development Breeder for Monsanto in 2018, where he was focused on breeding elite varieties for Maturity Group 2. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science and Technology from University of Maryland, College Park, USA and a PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Genomics from the University of Georgia, USA. In his current role, he interacts with partners throughout global Bayer Crop Science to develop strategies leveraging state-of-art breeding, phenotyping, genotyping and analytical methods for the purpose of maximizing genetic gain and delivering superior germplasm to Product Development Breeders/Scientists for line level characterization.
